User Interface
The user interface, compatible with Microsoft Office, immediately places the user in a simple and familiar work environment that allows them to be immediately operational. The BlueCAD interface can be freely configured, in order to obtain the optimal arrangement of the commands that the user uses most. Furthermore, this configuration can be memorized, so that the user is able to choose the most appropriate interface style at any time.
Drag & Drop Symbols
You can manage the insertion and storage of symbols with simple Drag & Drop operations. The symbol preview then allows you to quickly choose from the symbol libraries. BlueCAD also includes 3000 symbols ready to be used.
It is always possible to easily create new symbols, to be stored in new symbol libraries created by the user.
Graphic Object Attributes
The Attributes Window is a simple and effective tool for quickly viewing and modifying the properties of graphic objects.
Simply select a graphic object to obtain all the graphic information associated with it and to easily modify it.
Auto Snap
With this tool you can improve speed and accuracy in drawing: BlueCAD automatically recognizes notable points while drawing. BlueCAD recognizes vertices, grid, midpoints and more.
AutoCAD Compatibility
BlueCAD supports reading and writing DWG and DXF formats from version 2.5 to the most recent version 2014 (2000 in writing).
In this way it is possible to share the files of your projects, with workgroups that use other products.
Advanced Print Support
An extended set of features now allows total control of printing and plotting. The user can choose the settings to achieve optimal printing of the drawing, and save these settings with the drawing itself.
BlueCAD also manages printing on multiple sheets, that is, it can print drawings even on sheets of dimensions not supported by the printer. For example, you can print on an A0 format even if you have a printer capable of printing only on A4 format, in this case the A0 drawing is printed on multiple A4 sheets.
The print preview then allows you to see exactly how the drawing will be printed.
Programmable in Basic
BlueCAD makes available BlueCAD SCRIPT, the tool capable of creating macro commands in Basic language, to be used as additional commands. The Basic used by BlueCAD is compatible with Microsoft® Visual Basic®, furthermore with BlueCAD SCRIPT Editor it is possible to write, test, and debug in an integrated environment that simplifies the development work.
Furthermore, BlueCAD SCRIPT supports OLE Automation, in this way a bridge is created between BlueCAD and all the main Windows applications.
